The BIAT training course was established in 2011 by the network “GDR2588 microscopie et imagerie du vivant”. The aim of this course is to meet the needs and ambitions of the bio-imaging community concerning advanced bio-photonic experimental strategies. The success of the first BIAT edition and the steady evolution of the bio-photonic field totally justify holding this second edition of BIAT in 2013.
The aim of the BIAT training course is to develop the ability to tackle functional studies of the cell and of integrated cell systems with bio-photonic approaches.
This course is also dedicated to enabling participants who are themselves closely involved in developing these strategies to share and to reinforce their multidisciplinary community. Participants are expected to be contributors to current technological and methodological innovations in microscopy and actors of their transfer to biological and medical applications.
Moreover, BIAT 2013 is dedicated to match European course standards, and should be certified as such for its third edition in 2015.
